As a psychotherapist with 28 years experience I also enjoy providing clinical supervision to counsellors, therapists and other care providers.

I offer a range of empathetic and effective counselling and therapy services to support children, adolescents, parents, and adults.

My approach is collaborative, focusing on your /  your family's / unique needs - aiming to empower you with a greater understanding of yourself / your family/ as well as practical strategies for lasting well-being.

Because talking helps, I use psychodynamic approaches linking past and present experience in order to face a more positive future.

I am a certified Dialectical Behaviour Therapist (DBT) and use cognitive, skills-based approaches where appropriate.  I am an ACC registered counsellor and my work is trauma informed. I have a fully equipped play therapy space.

I  provide a safe and confidential space for all clients - children, adolescents and adults - to explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours.  Address anxiety, depression, grief, stress, trauma, or life transitions with professional assessment and therapy tailored to your personal journey.

Parental guidance

Navigating the complexities of parenting can be challenging. I support parents to develop effective communication, manage family dynamics, and foster healthy relationships within their home environment, promoting harmony and understanding. Parents are  involved in their child's therapy wherever possible.

Stress & anxiety management

Learn practical tools and techniques to effectively manage stress and anxiety. Sessions may focus on helping you to understand the origins of your current coping strategies, building resilience, developing a more positive outlook and responses to stress, and cultivating a calmer, more balanced approach to daily life's pressures.

Personal growth & development

Sometimes past experience or present conflict can hold us back, frustrating our efforts to understand ourselves or to change. I can assist you in identifying and working through those obstacles, growing your strengths, so you can set meaningful goals, and foster self-confidence to create a more fulfilling and purposeful life.
